We believe successful community-focused design is characterized by our ability to engage diverse voices and reflect them in our work. BRIC is seeking Emerging Professionals to work with us as we partner with our clients and communities.
We seek candidates that represent diverse perspectives, demonstrate an ability to reflect on their own experiences, and contribute to our engagement of voices that have been traditionally underrepresented and/or historically marginalized. Emerging Professionals will contribute to our practice through design, graphic support, and engagement with both project teams and practice-building initiatives. Regular responsibilities include project-based work, including participating in team and client meetings, site visits, community engagement activities, design, communication, and documentation.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate a willingness and aptitude to work through foundational questions and tackle open-ended problems. Candidates will be able to complete assignments independently, collaboratively, or under the direction of experienced staff. Candidates will have an ability to collaborate with diverse teams and demonstrate a capacity to develop approaches which address complex design problems.
Applicants will communicate evidence of a well-developed way of working, including graphic and verbal communication, diagramming, analysis, and idea development. Further, candidates will have a familiarity with design fundamentals and software, including Adobe Suite, Sketchup or other 3D modeling software. Revit skills are preferred.
Candidates should email a cover letter, resume/CV, and representative samples of work communicating design, technical and/or documentation skills. Materials may be sent via PDF attachment, not-to exceed 15 MB in size. Website links are acceptable in addition to PDF attachment. Materials should be emailed to: careers@bric-arch.com.
