Karen brings over 30 years of experience leading K–12, civic, and adaptive reuse projects across Oregon and Washington with deep expertise in early planning, educational programming, and inclusive stakeholder engagement. Karen aligns community vision with evidence-based design to deliver high-performance learning environments. As a mentor and researcher, she is active with Association for Learning Environments and regularly contributes to advancing equitable, student-centered design.
